Technical AI/ML Product Manager
We are seeking a high-impact Technical Product Manager to lead the evolution of AIApply’s core machine learning engines. You will bridge the gap between complex AI research and user-centric features, directly influencing how millions of job seekers utilize LLMs to automate their career growth.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for a highly technical, deeply analytical AI/ML Product Manager to own AIApply’s matching and job intelligence systems. This is not a “roadmap PM” role. You’ll sit directly between product, data, infrastructure, growth, and ML systems — shipping improvements that materially increase: * interview rates * application quality * match relevance * successful hires You should be equally comfortable: * discussing ranking systems and embeddings * designing experiments * reading SQL/PostHog dashboards * defining eval frameworks * manually QAing recommendations * prototyping ideas fast with engineering We care about outcomes, not AI theatre. ⸻ What You’ll Own Matching & Ranking Systems Improve how users are matched to jobs using: * embeddings * retrieval systems * ranking pipelines * personalization layers * behavioral feedback loops * interview outcome reinforcement
Qualification
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Large Language Models (LLMs) and a proven track record of shipping AI-powered consumer or SaaS products. You should be comfortable navigating the trade-offs between model latency, cost, and output quality.
Required
- 4+ years of experience in Product Management, specifically within AI/ML or highly technical SaaS environments. - Deep understanding of the LLM landscape, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), embedding models, and API orchestration. - Proficiency in data analysis using SQL and Python to drive product decisions. - Strong architectural intuition with the ability to discuss API design and model deployment scales with engineering leads. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain 'black box' AI logic to non-technical stakeholders. - Experience in a fast-paced startup environment where rapid iteration and shipping are prioritized.
