Product Growth Engineer - Referrals and Viral loops
We are seeking a high-impact Product Growth Engineer to lead the technical strategy for our referral ecosystems and viral growth loops. You will sit at the intersection of engineering and product marketing, building the infrastructure that powers AIApply's organic user acquisition and social sharing features.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable referral systems that incentivize users to share AIApply’s tools with their professional networks. - Design and execute A/B tests on onboarding flows and sharing triggers to optimize the viral coefficient (K-factor). - Integrate sophisticated tracking and analytics to measure the performance of various growth experiments and social loops. - Collaborate with the product team to embed 'shareable moments' directly into the AI Resume Builder and Interview Coach features. - Optimize performance and reduce friction in the user sign-up and referral claiming process to maximize conversion rates. - Maintain and improve the security and integrity of reward systems to prevent exploitation and fraud.
Qualification
You are an engineering-driven growth expert with a proven track record of scaling consumer SaaS products through technical experimentation and viral mechanics.
Required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Software Engineering, specifically within Growth or Product teams. - Strong proficiency in modern web stacks (React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL) and experience with analytics tools like PostHog or Mixpanel. - Demonstrated experience building referral engines, invitation systems, or social integration APIs. - Deep understanding of growth psychology, cohort analysis, and data-driven decision making. - Ability to iterate rapidly in a fast-paced startup environment without sacrificing code quality. - Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical execution and marketing strategy.
